Anderson Silva rejects UFC story
By Mark Pickering | April 30, 2006
Anderson Silva has reiterated his status after the UFC ran a story on their official website claiming the 185-pounder had signed a multi-fight deal with the company. The story appeared on April 22nd, the same date Silva knocked out UFC veteran Tony Fryklund at Cage Rage 16 in London, England.
Silva held a seminar in Reading, England last week and openly discussed his status, “I have another offer from Cage Rage, K-1 has also offered me a contract for a Kick Boxing fight and the UFC has also offered him a contractâ€.
‘The Spider’ plans on deciding his future when he returns to Brazil and discusses the contract offers with his family.

“I have another offer from Cage Rage, K-1 has also offered me a contract for a Kick Boxing fight and the UFC has also offered him a contractâ€.
How can this be a quote from Silva? K-1 offered ME…. UFC offered HIM. Was this just a mistake in translation?
Just an error in translation – it should have read: ““I have another offer from Cage Rage, K-1 has also offered me a contract for a Kick Boxing fight and the UFC has also offered me a contractâ€.
